The Heather Mumford Project

Old-school country, blues, bluegrass & swing

About

The Heather Mumford Project brings together seasoned, Boston-based musicians who share a love for old-school country, blues, bluegrass and swing, and even modern pop (ahem, Taylor Swift? You read that right!). Whether she’s channeling classics by the likes of Patsy Cline, Jean Sheppard, and Bill Monroe, or delivering heartfelt originals, Heather Mumford’s spellbinding voice always sounds right at home. Led by Heather (ukulele, fiddle, lead vocals), and featuring Gary Kemp (resonator guitar, vocals), Sam Kendall (mandolin, vocals), Harris Kendrick (acoustic guitar, vocals) and Reid Plouffé (upright bass), the HMP brings soulful music and a laid back good time not to be missed.

The band has played at Arlington Brewing’s Jason Russell House Concert Series, Midnight Morning, Distraction Brewing, Cafe Zing, Dedham First Church Friday Coffee House, the Village Social Club, Midway Cafe, the Jungle, Tres Gatos, Strummin' Up To Boston, Remnant Brewing, the Square Root, and at porch fests, house concerts, and block parties.
